Dr Menegon was born and raised in Townsville, North Queensland and attended Ignatius Park College for high school. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from James Cook University (Townsville and Cairns) in 2010. Dr Menegon also holds a post graduate qualification in Clinical Epidemiology, obtained through The University of Newcastle.
Dr Menegon began his medial career as an intern and junior doctor at the Cairns Hospital, before moving to south east Queensland to persue orthopaedic surgery training. He worked as a registrar across multiple hospitals including The Prince Charles Hospital, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital and the Mater Public Hospital. He also spent a year of registrar training working at the Toowoomba Hospital, where he and his family first come to enjoy the lifestyle of living in the Darling Downs.
Dr Menegon completed his orthopaedic surgical training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) training program in 2024. The AOA program is governed by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).
Following his orthopaedic training, Dr Menegon completed further subspecialty fellowship training at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital under the guidance of Dr Kevin Tetsworth and Dr Jerry Van Der Pol. This 12 month fellowship focused on complex orthopaedic trauma surgery (including pelvis and acetabular fracture surgery) and limb reconstruction surgery (revision joint replacement; management of bone defects; correction of complex limb deformities). Dr Menegon has a special interest in treating disorders of the hip and knee, as well as the management of acute orthopaedic trauma (fractures, sports injuries and soft tissue trauma).
Dr Menegon warmly welcomes all patients to his practice, and is passionate about helping patients regain their mobility, reducing their pain and improving their quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr Menegon is married with 3 young children. He enjoys staying fit and healthy by swimming and spending time with his family as they settle in to life on the Darling Downs.
